About L.E.A.P.
The Legal Education Access Program seeks to cultivate tomorrow's lawyers, judges, and legislators. The scholars comprise America's brightest, hardworking, and exceptional individuals. Aimed at creating a more equitable environment for underrepresented students to thrive, the program provides financial assistance, mentorship, and fellowship opportunities to students pursuing a legal degree. Founded by M. Salman Ravala, L.E.A.P. seeks to engage legal students at all levels of their educational journey and facilitate the successful completion of the scholars' law degrees and secure employment upon graduation. L.E.A.P scholars are given the opportunity to learn in-depth about the legal profession through immersive mentorship and fellowship opportunities. Scholars are paired with a mentor, a legal practitioner, upon their acceptance into the program, who works with them throughout their academic career. Mentors serve as a guide for scholars, providing them with career advice and job shadow opportunities. Scholars are also given the opportunity to intern with local judges as fellows to gain practical experience and hone in on technical skills. Fellowship programs equip scholars with versatile leadership and legal skills they can use during their academic careers and post-graduation. L.E.A.P.'s mentorship and fellowship programs allow scholars to increase their network and gain invaluable experiences. We welcome collaboration with local law firms and courts to provide legal scholars with the tools they need to thrive and succeed. Please don't hesitate to contact us if you are interested in being a partner.
