Salman Ravala

Overview

Salman Ravala is an innovative, versatile, and accomplished New York City-based litigator with an astute ability to engineer solutions and solve problems for his clients. Mr. Ravala brings extensive experience in complex, multi-district, and cross-practice litigations with a focus on commercial contracts, domestic and international business law, and employment law. He represents both Plaintiffs and Defendants in New York state, federal, and appellate court, as well as in mediation and arbitrations forums across the United States and globally.

Previously, Mr. Ravala served in-house as Vice President of Business & Legal Affairs to a global equipment distributor and served as Visiting Legal Scholar to the United Nations Office of Legal Affairs (UNCITRAL). A Harvard Law School trained mediator, Mr. Ravala is an Adjunct Professor of Law at New York Law School and serves as a neutral on various ADR rosters, frequently speaks and writes on the topics of ADR locally and internationally, and holds numerous leadership positions with local and national bar associations and community organizations, including serving as Life Fellow of the New York Bar Foundation and member of the Board of Trustees of Scholarship America.

Mr. Ravala is a recipient of the 2015-2021 Superlawyers Rising Star and the 2016-2021 Martindale- Hubbell AV “Preeminent” Award – the highest possible rating – for his legal ability and highest ethical standards reflecting the opinions of the bar and judiciary.

Representative Matters

Represent an international lending institution in a several million-dollar arbitration involving claims of breach of contract, conversion, fraud arising out of a stock loan transaction.

Represent a Jordanian telecommunications company in a $40 million dollar RICO and breach of contract case related to an international bid for a government license.

Represent Prime Minister Imran Khan of Pakistan in a right of publicity, trademark infringement, and dilution rights dispute.

Represent several local, national, and international nonprofits related to Board matters, governance, and contract disputes related to confidentiality, employment, intellectual property, joint venture, and miscellaneous vendor agreements
